Noel Lawrence – Island Rhythms Production

My name is Noel Lawrence, founder of Island Rhythms Production. I have been performing throughout California for more than 50 years, carrying on a rich family tradition of Caribbean music and culture.

My father, Raymond Lawrence, along with his brothers Gerald Lawrence and Ken Lawrence, were among the first steel drum bands in the United States after arriving in 1960. My father is also highly respected for making and tuning authentic steel drums.

Island Rhythms Production provides authentic Caribbean entertainment featuring Steel Drum Bands, Reggae Bands, and Latin music ensembles. Our Steel Drum Band has toured and performed in sixteen countries worldwide.

Members of our Reggae band have performed alongside reggae legends including Eek-A-Mouse, Ras Michael, Buju Banton, and Pato Banton.

We are also honored to have completed three tours performing for U.S. troops, including appearances at Camp Fallujah, as well as performances in Bosnia and Herzegovina and Kosovo, with our most recent military tour taking place in February 2010.

In addition to live music, we offer complete Caribbean entertainment packages including dancers, fire eating, limbo performances, DJs, and authentic Caribbean cuisine through our catering services.
